Party Proof Festival Looks!

Image
Step by step I'm going to post tutorials on how to eventually create your total " Party Proof" Festval look!:) You should of course totally make it to fit your personal style, an just have a lot of fun with it! :D What do i mean by " party proof" ? Well, festivals are a place to let loose, party & Dance. So you don't want your outfit or accessories to prevent you from doing that in any way!;) Ok, Lets's start! 1. Elasctic " Party Proof" Accessories part I Everything is elastic so even with your wildest dance moves there is no danger of getting caught and hurting yourself️ Plus it's easy and comfortable to wear and on top of that.. Easy to make!!! - 1. Match your outfit by using some of the fabric or lining (or something that matches) for an elastic bracelet. Make it a little bit longer then half your wrist and sew it (easy by hand) to some thin elastic. Done! Add a charm or some fringes or paillettes and you're

In this post you will find a Home Decor version (chopsticks for eating) aswell as an accessories version (chopsticks for in hair). Enjoy! Home Decor: Find some clear wooden chopsticks (usually sold in 3 to 10 pairs) and decorate them with paint, nail polish, glitter glue, washitape or whatever you like! Then all you have to do is let it dry and apply a layer of varnish (so it doesn't get in your food and stays good when washing) an done! You can personalize them for different people at a dinner party, add names, or make them match your tablecloth or bowls etc. So easy,& fun and really satisfying when you see the result in action:) Accessories: Find some clear wooden chopsticks (usually sold in 3 to 10 pairs) or even use some old pencils or the tiny sticks used for bbq sticks, and decorate them with paint, nail polish, glitter glue, washitape or whatever you like! Then all you have to do is let it dry and apply a layer of varnish (so you don't get the glitter

Easiest Summer Bracelets

Image
I want to post some more complicated jewelry as well, but lets start with some fun and really easy bracelets to brighten up the summer even more!:) Needed: elastics (preferable coloured an good looking but even normal elastic or hair elastic will do), charms ( I've mostly used open charms for this example to make a double elastic side but Making a single one is even easier (check anklets) so normal charms work good as well!), caps! soft metal caps to hide knots;) And if you like add beads, use cord with magnetic closing etc. More tutorials coming soon:) Take 1 peace of elastic, pull it through the charm on one side and then on the other side. Now either tie them together at the end, or 1 cm from the charm on both sides leaving a single (more stretchable) elastic in the back. Use the caps  to hide the knots and...Done already! :D on to the next! A good reason to work with elastics is that it fits anyone and it doesn't discolor (like chains or other metals) And (even t

TopBag & Shoppers

Image
We are going to make some, cute, simple &fun shoppers today!:) In the first version we can make one out of a top and in the second we make them from scratch and add some features to make them easy to always carry around with you even inside your purse. Family version: Take a top you hardly ever wear anymore. Fold it inside out. Sew or glue or staple the bottom side together so its sturdy enough. now fold inside out again...and.. It's a bag!!!! You can put your gym/swimwear in there or take it to go shopping or gift it to a friend or family member:) You can glue or stitch a lint on both sides (to hide the existing sewing line), or paste some glitter on the bag or even write someones name on it etc. Decorate it however YOU like it! :) No old tops? Ask your mom, dad, brother, sister or friends if they might have one for you.     Sewing/leftover/from scratch version: Make sure you have at least a double A4 amount of fabric. Fold and cut the shape and sew/trim all th

From Showercurtain To Raincoat!:)

Image
It worked! I had this idea, that the fabric of a showercurtain might be perfect for a poncho or a raincoat. So, i got a new one, and tried it out! Now, i have to admit it was a lot harder then i thought (mostly because I've never worked with this kind of fabric and I've actually never made a coat or a hoodie before;). But..It works! I'm going to tell you how i did it and I would love to see what YOU make of it! 1. Close the cutains Lay the showercurtain on the floor and fold the top and bottom to the middle. (a little bit more of the top/bottom if it's not trimmed correctly yet, mine had a good bottom and even buttonholes on top so i could totally use it as it was). Then start pinning or (to make it even easier) start taping paper tape on the places where you think you should cut/sew. Make sure to leave a stroke on top or bottom to make the waist belt later. 2.  Fill in the gaps You can either pin and try on first, or if you feel confidant sew the side and s

No, don't worry, I'm not flipping you off at all! I'm showing my 1nici finger! Use washitape, nail polish, paper tape, paint, glitter, tiny rings and whatever you can think of, and make your 1nicifinger (ring finger) unique ! Match custom decorated nails with custom decorated rings and upload your best picture on instagram #1nicifinger  Join the fun! How to make? However you want! I have mostly done this: Paint the nail in a colour, cut out peaces of washitape and put on the nail. Then add a layer of clear nail polish! After that i would use the same tape/style to match some jewelry items (rings, but also bracelets, earrings and necklaces). You could paint over the tape or use nail polish only or even make some of your own drawings on paper tape etc. Just be creative and enjoy the process:) I'm sure you can do better then me!!!! So show it off;) Extra tips: if the washi tape or paper tape does not stick good enough to the finger or jewelry, stick some doub
