Classy made Easy

We can make so many different versions of this one! :)

Right now I'm going to explain only my version but like
always...feel free to totally make it your own! Use different materials for the thread, change classic charm for feather or a huge peace of jewellery, and close with whatever material you have or prefer. Plus experiment with different lengths and so forth and so on... ok, lets just start shall we?

Needed: Any material for rope/thread, any type of charm, any type of closing material and some creativity. It's super easy and addictive! You can even make them while watching netflix;)

1. Find the middle
Take your peace of... rope and make sure it is longer then needed! find the middle and make a knot above the middle, leaving a loop. (if you don't know how: hold the two sides together and make a knot) If you need/want a big loop then knot it even more up.
2. Tie the knot
Keep making knots until you reach the perfect (decolleté) length is reached.
3. Tidy up loose ends
If you're making a really long necklace you don't need a closing, you can just tie the ends together and make them stronger by adding knots. If you don't, then grab your closing (i used magnets because it's also easier to take the necklace on and off, plus safe if it ever gets caught up.)
Tie the ends to your closing at almost perfect length (a bit longer) so after you can add knots on both sides until the length is absolutely perfect:)
4. Charmed i'm sure
And finally we add the finishing touch to our masterpiece by attaching a charm (or seriously...whatever you want!). If you have never made any jewellery you might need to steal a tiny ring from another necklace (you know, the ones that have all those extra rings in the end to adjust length). open the ring and hang the charm and loop inside before closing again. E Voilá! On to the next;)

5. Variations

1. Variate with size of the loop and hangers. If you have a hanger that can't be attached with rings then make sure to hang it at the beginning and then make/tie the loop around it.
2. Cut one end of the loop and you will have a single rope hanging. variate with length and hangers.
3. Make a bigger loop and cut more on one side. You will have asymmetrical cords left and tie both to a ring/charm.
4. Make a long necklace (that can go over your head easily). Then do the same on the back as the front, so when you wear your hear up, you will have a nice charm to show off on your back/between shoulders.

I'm not yet giving all away because i do have some more projects coming;) so stay tuned...+

Hope it becomes your new favorite necklace! I'm adding some variation pictures as inspiration...please be so kind as to show us your creations on fb as well  as in the comments! :)
