Jeans to raggedy shorts



This is a "refashion/upcycle" project so we start with some normal length jeans or a boring jeans shorts. We are going to trash them to be able to save them...
Make sure it still fits;) or try to make it a bit bigger first by taking away the thread in the sides and putting it back together using less fabric to fold inwards. Needed: some sandpaper (tiny peace is enough!) and/or cheese scraper and whatever else you might want to add (lace, iron on emblems, or pocket applications etc)




Ok, Ready to say goodbye to the boring old jeans and get ready for a delicious summer?

1. The unraveling/revealing
Cut the jeans at your preferred length (tiny bit longer for unravelling) and start to use your fingers and some tiny scissors to make the bottom unravel and look raggedy. If its going to much or you're scared it might get too much then stitch shortly above.

2. Demolishion time
Now take the sandpaper and start making movements (check what works best sideways or up-down or circles). Pres it harder on a certain point to make actual holes or use a cheese grater for that;) I mostly advice to make the holes on the bottom and on pockets (otherwise your skin shows).
3. Make it unmistakably yours
Now you can add whatever you want to make them your perfect best friends for this summer:)

Sweet Dreams Catcher

Easy and super fun to make, with lovely results! <3 Make it in any shape you like and with any material you like just make sure you have so e tiny twinkle lights (i used VISVISS ikea - no they are not paying me to say this..unfortunately;p) and that the shape is big/small enough to at least go around the edges and down three times. For this example i used a placemat i found, but you can also create your own shape with iron cord (see twinkle post  for tips) or make it out of cut outs cardboard or lace! From Showercurtain To Raincoat!:)

It worked! I had this idea, that the fabric of a showercurtain might be perfect for a poncho or a raincoat. So, i got a new one, and tried it out! Now, i have to admit it was a lot harder then i thought (mostly because I've never worked with this kind of fabric and I've actually never made a coat or a hoodie before;). But..It works! I'm going to tell you how i did it and I would love to see what YOU make of it! 1. Close the cutains Lay the showercurtain on the floor and fold the top and bottom to the middle. (a little bit more of the top/bottom if it's not trimmed correctly yet, mine had a good bottom and even buttonholes on top so i could totally use it as it was). Then start pinning or (to make it even easier) start taping paper tape on the places where you think you should cut/sew.
